Of the entire PUMA lineup, this is my favorite. It has a carbon plate and is bouncy, but doesn’t feel like other carbon shoes I have tried. I do NOT recommend this shoe as a daily trainer, speaking from experience and tough injury lessons. But I did run a few half marathons and 10ks in these loved them.

This is the sneaker I wore the first time I broke 2 hours in the half marathon. They will forever be special to me, and they were so comfy and pretty. Not super stiff because the plate isn’t carbon, but still very springy. I have not worn the more recent versions of this, but have heard great things!

If you know me at all you know that this sneaker is my ride or die. I have high arches and don’t like to feel the pavement under my feet when I run, and I have had more pairs of the Gel Nimbus over the years than any other shoe. They’re bouncy and hug my feet and keep my legs happy!

Superblast

The moment I first ran in these sneakers I was hooked. I can’t wait to see how they feel running a marathon, but I already PR’d my half marathon time in them. I am currently on my third pair, and I would suggest trying them on because they run slightly bigger.

Metaspeed Sky

This is the first carbon plated sneaker I ever had and I raced many half marathons in it. I prefer the Sky over the Edge because I felt like it had a little more underneath it, but I also can’t say I noticed a huge difference. I was able to put a lot of miles on them which is great given the price!

Metaspeed Sky+

I raced my first ever Marathon in these shoes! I didn’t notice any major differences in feel between the Sky and the Sky+. I would absolutely recommend this shoe, but I wouldn’t run another marathon in these until I’m a bit faster. For a 4 hour marathoner it’s a long time on carbon plates.
